From Pillow Top to Standard Top, we’ve carefully hand-crafted and designed all our mattresses so you can receive restorative rest night after night.

Pillow Top mattresses — just as their name suggests — are designed to provide a plusher, more cushioned feel. Our Pillow Top mattresses feature an extra layer of upholstery on the top of the mattress, so if you thought the Pillow Top was synonymous with sleeping on a hand-crafted cloud, then you thought correctly. We’ve found that side and stomach sleepers who prefer a soft or medium feel enjoy a Pillow Top mattress. The Pillow Top creates a soft, cradling experience perfect for cushioning the curves or softer areas of your body. If you’re a stomach or side sleeper, you may benefit from a Plush, Ultra Plush, or Pillow Top Firm Stearns & Foster feel.

Standard Top mattresses (otherwise known as Tight Top mattresses), on the other hand, are just the opposite. To create a more firm, supportive feel and offer sleepers a responsive sleeping surface, Standard Top mattresses feature sturdy, flat construction. We’ve found that back sleepers require lower levels of body contouring and benefit from a Standard Top mattress, because the firmer surface provides proper spinal alignment. All our mattress models are available in a Standard Top option, with feels including Firm, Plush, Ultra Firm, and Cushion Firm.
